For all the saints who from their labors rest...

There is something wonderful about worshipping in an old church. When praying there, I can almost hear that "great cloud of witnesses," the past generations of saints, say, "Amen." When singing, I can almost hear the echoes of their praises ringing off the aged walls.
In the past months we have enjoyed several preaching engagements at the 213 year old Amity Church in western Orange County's "black dirt country." At least one of the current members can trace her family lineage to the founding fathers of this venerable rural church. The folk have been kindly welcoming, even inviting our little ones to help ring the church bell. Thank you, saints of Amity. We will remember you.
